Creil students receive their violins

Violins presented to students in Creil

On Thursday, April 7, the 62 preschoolers in the moyenne section at Louis Pergaud and Pierre de Ronsard primary schools gathered with their families in Creil’s municipal theater to receive their violins. Mayor Jean-Claude Villemain and other elected officials hosted the ceremony, and the instruments were presented by Hélène and Pierre Vareille, joined by Irène and Yves Merel.

The Merels—both natives of Creil—are friends and supporters of the Foundation. They attended Louis Pergaud and Pierre de Ronsard as children, and they are supporting A violin can change the world to thank their primary schools for giving them the fundamental skills they needed to succeed in life.

After remarks by the project’s partners, the children and their parents took part in a concert performed by violin teacher Luis Joves Molina.
