Last week in Switzerland’s Valais Canton, participating schools in Martigny and Monthey held year-end concerts featuring the eight-year-olds* in our violin program.
At the end of these impressive performances, the young musicians received their diplomas, marking their completion of the four-year program. Though the audience was limited by continuing Covid restrictions, members of the Vareille Foundation’s Board of Directors had the pleasure of attending the Martigny concert.
Congratulations to all of the graduates on their remarkable progress and their commitment to the program! We’re delighted to see that regular violin lessons have taught them to enjoy making music together, listening to each other, concentrating and persevering.
For all of the children and their teachers, taking part in the concert and graduation ceremony was a deeply moving experience. We can’t wait for the families to see the videos!
*These children are in the second year of elementary school (4H in Switzerland, CE1 in France).
