On Thursday, June 22, the children in our A violin can change the world project in Zurich—all students at Hardau Elementary School—took the stage in a year-end performance at the Volkshaus concert hall, singing and playing their violins for an audience of 400.
The show also featured a very special guest: star violinist Alexandra Conunova!
Two representatives of the Vareille Foundation performed for the audience as well: for the last piece on the program, Foundation President Hélène Vareille and Projects Director Clément Dumortier brought out violins and joined the children and Ms. Conunova on stage. The concert ended the year on a high note, bringing the community together through the unifying power of music.
The event also gave the Foundation’s Board of Directors an opportunity to meet and review the program’s progress since its launch in September 2015.
Our warmest thanks to the teachers and administrators of Hardau Elementary School and the violin teachers from the Zurich School of Music for organizing the performance.
