Meeting with the leadership of the Martigny school district

Michel Beytrison, our contact in the Valais Education Department, acted so swiftly that by June 9 we were in Martigny for a meeting with representatives of the school he had approached as a candidate for launch of our “A violin can change the world” project in late August, when the school year begins.

And in fact it was a school in Martigny that we ultimately selected. Two combined classes—50% fourth-year children and 50% fifth-year children, for a total of 44 children in all—will begin music and/or violin lessons starting in early September 2015.
