A progress report on 2016

It’s been a long time since our last post—and we’ve been busy! Here’s a quick update for everyone who has faithfully followed our progress.

On February 17, Clément Dumortier and Hélène Vareille met with Marianne Brady, a violin teacher and well-known specialist in the Colourstrings method, a particularly effective way to teach music to very young children. We believe that it’s worthwhile to think carefully about the most age-appropriate teaching method for the children in our project, and to consider how our methodology (teaching small groups) should impact the standard methodology (individual lessons). Our initial meeting kicked off a dialog between Ms. Brady and the violin teachers in Martigny—stay tuned!
