As the second segment of the program began, the children and their teachers gathered on stage, watching closely as Alexandra Conunova, a young violin virtuoso and Verbier Festival alumna, played Elgar’s Salut d’Amour with accompaniment by Christian Thompson.
Alexandra Conunova would return to the stage later to perform Paganini’s spectacular Caprice No. 24.

The children were completely absorbed—their rapt faces showed that they already have real listening skills. Some may even have been dreaming of taking the stage themselves in 20 years!
